Still eating leftovers...in front of the christmas tree!

Unfortunately, I think tomorrow I will have to throw away anything that isn't eaten except turkey which I will freeze. We have had Thanksgiving for the last 5 days for 2 meals a day - and it's been wonderful!

The tree went up yesterday, so that was fun. Poor hubby doesn't come from a holiday oriented family, and so he was slightly confused by the decorating of the tree. We put up about 25 ornaments, and he says "okay, looks about done". WHAT?!? We haven't put up all the ornaments! Why on earth would I leave ornaments packed away during the only time of yr that they are even useful? I admit there can be too many ornaments on a tree, but not when you're 26 and its your first tree and you only have 1 box of ornaments! Geeeeeeeeeeeez.

I had to go back to work today - and even though this is kind of a bummer, I realized that I have only 2.5wks left until we go on our winter break! Beginning Dec 19, I have 16 days off!! Hurrah for the educational calendar and university vacation benefits.

I have so much to do in this short time. I don't know what the hell to get my brother for xmas. I would even do a video game, except he borrows everything from friends, and therefore he's already played even the latest games. I threw out the idea of an electric mattress pad to the parents, and they thought he may be touchy about bedding. what the hell? who doesn't love to get into a prewarmed bed?? I am out of ideas. He's going to get something ridiculous with a receipt attached so he can return it unless I come up with something soon!
